why we use iron corn in transformer instead of wooden core
Answer Posted / muhammad asghar
The purpose of core is to provide low reluctance path for
the magnetic flux linking primary and secondary windings.
So if we can't magnetize core electrically then there is no
use of core in transformer. This is the reason for using
electrical steel in transformer as a CORE material because
we can't magnetize wooden material electrically due to its
high reluctance.

Hello everyone, somebody knows what is a "surplice power" ? The hole phrase is: "This rating is appropriate for a generator set paralleled with an infinite bus e.g. a national electrical supply network or grid where the generator set is run at 100% load, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and any surplice power is exported into the grid" Thanks in advance.
