petrochemical company

Exactly depends on whether you have experience or fresher.If you are a fresher,then they might start from your basics like charles law,boyle's law,avogadro's law and then go on to what you did in your BE project (very important).I was asked "Define a refinery in terms of a chemical engineer?" I was also asked questions regarding IBP,FBP,API Gravity,Cetane Number,specifications for petrol and diesel in different Euro norms,Difference between hydrocracking,hydrotreating and hydro-desulfurization,how will you design a heat exchanger and then cut point for different distillates and lots other questions. But after you gain experience for a few years,they will not ask all these.What they will ask is that what things you did worthwhile while you were in the previous company,what initiatives you took on your own etc.
