Fat stands for the file allocation table and used in almost all the systems owned by microsoft ....it is of two types.FAT 16 and FAT 32....with the help of the FAT we can store only small amount of data but with the help of the NTFS we can store large amount of the datas.NTFS also provides the security at the file lwvel by encription and compretion
