I think for single phase there is no need for earthing.
Earthing is useful to bypass the charge of thundering.
But incase of three phase generator we must use earthing
because, without earthing when loads are not equal among
the phases then the phase voltages are not same respect to
star point. Which is very dangerous for single phase user.

What happens if the Capacitive Voltage Transformer Primary neutral is not earthed. There is a CVT between Transformer and source, and the CVT neutral of the transformer is not earthed, does it effect the transformer while charging or does it effect the transformer charging process.
