In underground cables,we have a grading method called
'capacitance grading'.Why is it called 'capacitance grading'
although we do not use any capacitor in it?
Answer Posted / msrk raju
Capacitance grading means not the use of
capacitor.Particularly in signal cable capacitance grading
is important. In any cable leakage is depends on the
capacitance between core to core and core to earth. If the
capacitance is high leakage also high.
