How are GDR different from ADR when both are denominated in
US dollors??

Usually GDRs are also denominated in US$. ADRs are issued
for subscription in US and would need to comply with SEC
requiremnets.
GDRs are issued for subscription other than in US. Further,
both ADRs and GDRs cannot be issued for subscription in
India.
