An individual (A natural person), can open a Savings A/c in
a Bank (2 or more persons can open a Joint A/c or Karta of a
HUF can open a Savings A/c).
An individual or HUF can open Current A/c for Business or
Professional Transactions with a bank. Savings Bank carries
interest (Currently it's 3.5% in India), where as a Current
A/c does not earn any interest for the account holder.
