why we use iron corn in transformer instead of wooden core

wooden core is bad conductor of electricity,current can't
flow through it,so we use iron core because when current
flow core magnetic flux set up.

Aged Control Oil has a Power Factor of 0.032% at 100°C. Aged Oil with a Test component has a Power Factor of 0.093% at 100°. Is this increase acceptable? If not why? How much increase is acceptable?
I have doubt that the supply HZ (very low or high than rated ) may affect the power factor. is it true. ?
