What is the difference between torque and moment?

Answer Posted / om

IF we talk about torque then it is a cause of rotational
motion for example Breaking Torque of Shaft(measured by
dynamometer). It is resembles to force as in case of Linear
motion. But when any force acts offset to any point than
force is replace by a moment at that point and the moment
is goven by force x Per. distance between force and that
point.
