Operating System is interface between user and computer.
in other words we can say its a software which act as a
translator between comp and user.
Operating systems 1)Client OS 2)Server OS

Client Operating System which is limited for standalone Comp.
If you create a user in client os this is user is limited
for that comp only.

Server Operating system which is can controls the network
with the help of Network services Like DNS,DHCP,Active
directory.
If you create a user on a server comp which is installed
network operating system means in Active directory that user
can login any computer in the network
