Voltage rise: in case of transmission line suppose line is
charged on no load. Due to its capacitive effect( farrenty
effect) voltage gets rise at receiving end more than rated
voltage.
Voltage drop: due active power loss or resistance of the line
IR drop occurs which result in getting less voltage at
receiving end less than rated voltage another reason is if we
apply heavy load voltage drop occurs
