IN CONTROL SYSTEMS Y WE NEED TO KNOW THE STABILITY OF THE
SYSTEM?WHAT IS ITS PRACTICAL USE?
Answer Posted / john h
Answe #1 is right. you need to know your system will work
and under what conditions and design for them. as
Conditions change so may your system reliability.
For instance AWG can handle a specified current at a given
size but under some conditions this value may need to be
derated. same goes for many components. Nema can often take
more abuse then IFE ( a european standard i can't recall
the name accuratly) as these components are made with less
resources and operate in tighter tolerances. Often but not
always cheaper then NEMA for the same ratings.
This also gets into dirty electrical waveforms and magnetic
flux you do not want a near by conduit accidently inducing
a voltage on a signal line triggering a false or true
conditions. this can bring about changes in your control
system causing erratic behaviour
