1) By Measuring its VOLTAGE by Multimeter, in case of 12V
battery, it should be between 12V to 14V.
2)By Measuring with HYDROMETER, the SPECIFIC GRAVITY value
should be between 1.19 to 1.4
3) By Measuring the TEMPERATURE that should not exceed
above 41 degree C
In case of VOLTAGE is lower it should be charged with a
CONSTANT CURRENT or CONSTANT VOLTAGE CHARGER to reach the
specific voltage of battery.
In case of SPECIFIC GRAVITY IS LOW, the distilled water
should be added to all the cap holes to certain distances in
the battery and then charged.
If the water and sulphuric acid in the battery turns black
then the battery is dead.
A proper Ventilation should be arranged to limit exceeding
the TEMPERATURE of the battery in charging condition.
The Terminals of the battery should properly cleaned with
PETROLEUM JELLY.
The battery should not be placed under sun light.
It should be cleaned with wet cloth.
For any purpose the battery should not be SHORT CIRCUITED.
