what is frequency? and its importance

Answer Posted / kiran

frequency is defined as number of cycles passes through one
second.
if frequency=0,it is direct current.
if it is for ac,as for our domestic supply we take
50hz,means in one second 50 cycles can pass from one point
to other.

frequency is inversely proportional to time.

so for 50hz, the time taken to pass is 0.02seconds or 20ms.

frequency plays vital role in switched electronics as
depending on its operation, digital bits 1s and 0s can be
determined.
