what is difference between microprocessor and microcontroller ?
Answer Posted / anandkumar m k
The major difference between is that microcontroller has
ports which makes it easier to interface various i/p and
o/p device, whereas in microprocessor you dont have ports,
so you go for interfacing IC's to avail the ports, some of
the interfacing IC's used along with microprocessor are
8279 for keyboard, 8251 for serial communication, 8255 for
parallel communication, etc.
