Well, to the best of my knowledge, the answer is No. You
need to go to the US Within a months period of the starting
date as mentioned on your I-20

Dear Friends. I hv a valid F1 visa till 2012. Due to family emergency I came to India in Feb 2010 and I am still in India. Recently I came to know that I have to give visa interview again because I am away from US for more than 5 months. Do I need to prepare all the visa related documents once again? and what is the chances for me to get the visa?

hello.. i went for the visa interview on 10th august 2009, and was rejected.as ma interview was very short and i was unable to know the reason.. i have applied for ms in elect engg in csula. i: good morning sir. VO: DID not replied and asked for passport and all. after having ma finger print he asked me which unv? i: CSU LA VO: how many unv have u applied for and name them? i: 2 sir, csula and Nyit vo: why nyit? ( being very loud) i: becox the course and curriculum are quite similar to ma objectives and i am interested in this research program they are offerring. vo: why nyit? ( being more louder) i: becoz i wnted to keep it as an option if in any case i was not admited in csula. vo: wat option? i am asking u why Nyit? i: becoz they are proving me a spz of microcomputers and digital systems. and also ma teachers and seniors reffered me this unv. vo: do u have ny relation in us? i: no blood relation but i do have some seniors there. vo: i am sorry cant grant u d visa. i am taking date after 15th august.is it possible people get visa's in 2nd attempt. where i lacked last time. and next time wat ll i possibly say dat y was i rejected last time. does ma first rejection ll affect ma 2nd interview. plz help me...

hello everybody, I was rejected for the visa twice last for fall-07 intake. According to me the reason for the rejection may be my application for the visitor visa ten years before. I got rejected on my ineterview on december 8th and have again taken the date for 17th.During my interview a guy quarreled with the interview taking person and then the same girl took my interview. My all documents are upto date bank balance is enough,self property is good,watevr she asked i told her fluently but also she rejected telling me that ma income source is not enough. I dont understand why i got rejected. The friends who had taken the interveiw along with me got selected though their family background is more poor than mine. i am afraid i will get rejected again. I passed my 10th ( CBSE ) in 1998 ( 76% marks ).I did a Three Year Engineering Diploma in Computer Science in the period 2002 - 2005 ( 83% marks ).I did National Open School 12th Standard in 2009 - 2010 with Eng,Phy,Chem,Bio,Maths as subjects ( 84% marks ).I have Academic Gap in the period 1998 - 2002 and 2005 - 2009 as I was involved in family run small scale business.Now I plan to do Undergraduate Degree in Business in the U.S.A.I am now 28 years old.Will the Academic Gap affect my chances to get admission ?
