what is meant by oil filled power & distrubution

Oil filled Transformer- Oil is a medium of insulation as
well as heat rediation for oil filled X-mer.
Commonly there are four types of cooling has been prefere
for Transformers like- Oil ,Air,water & Collant as medium.
As we know that X-mer is a device which can change the
voltage (Up & Down) without changing its frequency.
As per application they are classified as-
a)Power X-Mers
b)Distribution X-Mers
The X-mer are used for more than 33 KV are know as Power X-
Mer normally used at generating stations & substations
Distribution x-mer- Below 33KV normally used for Domestic,
&commercial &Industrial application at consumer end.
