If the primary of a transformer is connected to a d.c
supply,the primary will draw a steady current,hence
prodocue constant flux.consequently no back emf ll be
produced.The primary ll draw excessive current due to flow
of low resistance of the primary.The result is that the
primary eill overheat and burn out the transformer.
