Fashion is something which cannot be completely copied from another designer, it has to be someones creative mind & true love towards the profession. Honestly speaking you cannot become a fashion designer by drawing sketches, basically it is a complete mixture from of fabric selection \ design of the outfit \ season to wear \ comfort level \ flexibility \ durability of the fabric \ The fit!! remember fit is also one of the most important aspect...Any there are many many more. & last but not the least *Strong financial backing for marketing of your product\brand...NERVOUS? The word FASHION comes with thorns...Weather modelling, designing or merchandising.
The best way of getting knowledge is becoming a bespoke designer. Let your buyers tell you what they want! and then you just mark out things which are good and which are bad.
