RAM is used to store temporary data. There is always some
data which the processor needs to access frequently to make
a program run successfully. If processor constantly accesses
the hard drive then the hard drive will work slowly because
it has a motor & many other moving parts. Thus, to access
data more efficiently & quickly, RAM is used to store data
temporarily.
