How we can test Cookies Manually?

Yes we can test cookies manualy,,for example if we have the
user login with username and password and a check box which
says do u want to remmber user name and password. In this
case if we enter the user credientials and check the check
box we can able to login. And for the next time we don't
need to enter the credentials.... it will automatically
login....please correct me if iam wrong.
