Preference should be given for High priority bug or Critical severity bug?

tricky question
in real time severity is decided by testing team and
priority is decided by dev tem
so if dev team given severity bug as low priority while
fixing they will consider priority colum only
and fix bug later after high priority bug
so it is up to the dev team when they should fix the bug
but if it is a show stopper they will fix it right then
correct me if i am worng dont just click on no,post answer
