Basically there are solar collectors which collect the sun
rays. They are in concave shape, flat etc. Solar cells convert
Solar energy into Electrical energy. They are silicon coated
cells. They work on photo electric effect. when light falls
on the cells, valence electrons are liberated by absorbing the
light energy. These electrons start circulating & form
Electricity.
