transformer is an electrical machine which is used to increase or decrease the voltage level carasponding decrease or increase in current level.but frequency does not changed in this process.
trasformer can be divided in to two catagaries on basis of working-
1. step up transformer
2. step down transformer
trasformer can be divided in to two catagaries on basis of internal structure-
1. core type
2. shell type
