what is the difference between drift current and diffusion
current.
Answer Posted / sneha yadav
Diffusion current depends on the gradients (that is the
concentration gradient, pressure gradient and temperature
gradient) and the particles will distribute themselves from
regions of high concentration to regions of low
concentration. The current due to this motion of charge
particles is called as diffusion current. The current which
is due to the applied external electric field is called as
drift current. If there is no electric feild there will be
no drift current.
