If we touch the Capacitor terminals you feel shock after
the capacitor was put in operation and not in case of
inductor though both are energy storage elements.why?
Answer Posted / praveen kumar.bodu
In a circuit capacitor discharges through RC time
constant.i.e. capacitor discharging is mainly depends on
resistance of the circuit. human has some resistance when
we disconnect the charged capacitor it dischares through
human resistance when human touches its leads.then we felt
shock.
But in case of inductor the discharging takes place in
form of flux.so human cannot feel any shock with the flux.
