cement mortar1:5 12mm thick and one bags cement how much
area pleastering please give anwser
Answer Posted / sjtbehera
Ratio is cement mortar = 1:5 Thickness of plaster is 12mm
Let's calculate 1 sqm
volume of mortar= .012 x 1 = .012cum
Increase 20% for filling joints and wastage = .012x1/5
= .0144cum
when dry calculate volume of moratr by increasing 30%
= .0144+1/3x.0144= .0192 cfum ( dry)
total ratio = 1+5=6
.0192/6= .0032cum cement 1bag cement=.0347cum
so when we calculate 1 bag of cement total area cover-
1/.0032x.0347= 10.84 sqm
