As for SFU is concerned, TPN will mean triple pole with
Neutral. For MCB, MCCBs, TPN will mean a 4Pole device with
4th Pole as Neutral. In TPN, opening & closing of the
device will open & close the Neutral. While in SFU,
Neutral doesn't automatically opens or closes as it does in
case of MCBs or MCCBs. In MCBs & MCCBs, protection is only
on Three poles & Neutral is just a isolating pole. For
application where TP MCCB or MCB is used in 3ph4wire
system, it is denoted as TP+N which will mean a three pole
device with external neutral link which can be isolated if
required.
