can transformer work on dc or not?if we increase the
inductance of transformer can it happen to work on dc?

No, the transformer can not work on dc as in case of dc
supply,there will be no change of flux linkage with the
secondary winding hence no induced emf in it.Not by
increasing tne inductance.
