why transformer has more efficiency compare to rotating
machine?
Answer Posted / harsh kohli n delhi
The transformer is a static machine means no moving parts
such as bearing or bushes so
1)so no firction losses in bearings etc. in other words no
energy loss
2) the air gap between static and rotating parts such as
rotor windings and stater winding also consumes some energy,
waste some energy, where the transformer has no air gap
between two windings ,no losses here
hence transformer is more efficient.
