SINCE TWO BULBS ARE IN SERIES THEY WILL GET EQUAL AMOUNT OF
CURRENT.
BUT AS THE SUPPLY VOLTAGE IS CONSTANT SO BY EQN.P=V^2/R;
SO RESUSTANCE OF 40W BULB WILL BE MORE.
VOLTAGE ACROSS 40 W WILL BE MORE AS V=IR;
SO IT WILL GLOW BRIGTER;

Do any one know exacatly when the results for NHPC held on 8th march 09 for engineering trainees will be released ?. if so please post it, i'm eager to know it.
