No we cant set off service tax paid on freight otward with
excise duty payble. because an service tax input is only
eligible for availing credit on them.
service tax paid on freight outward : in this the tax burden
is put on the buyer or service receiver. He has to pay the
tax under the "catagory goods transport agency". Since
because the reciever of the service is paying the freight
the previlage to avail credit goes to him only not to
service provider.
