SKIN EFFECT--- IT IS THE UNEQUAL DISTRIBUTION OF CURRENT...IN THIS THE CURRENT FLOWS AT THE SURFACE OF THE CONDUCTOR RATHER THAN BULK.....SO CAUSES HEATING OF THE CONDUCTOR AND THUS THE LOSSES ARE INCREASED...
