why dc power can not be used in transformer?

In transformer, if we give DC Power to transformer then
very small emf is induced in secondary side as very small
magnetic field generated through DC supply. But if we used
AC supply then we get enough voltage on secondary side
which is our desired quantity.

WE ARE PLACE A NEW 75 KW MOTOR FOR JPF.IT IS CONNECTED IN M.C.C. WHEN WE ARE STARTING M.C.C.INCOMER IS TRIPPED.THEN WE ARE CONNECTED IN P.C.C WITH A MM30 RELAY PROTECTION THEN WE ARE STARTED MOTOR WILL RUN SMOOTHLY.
