Actually there is not much difference in Methodologies and types both are same, just they refer differently in different aspects.

each type of testing is one method to test the software.

its like Tree structure

Main testing Category > Sub Categories >sub sub cat.

White box > API testing,Code coverage, Fault injection, Mutation testing, Static testing.
Black box > Functional and non functional
>Functional > functional,regression, UI, etc
>Non-Functional > usability,Security testing, Stability etc

and so on..
