sorry friends,
The above two answers are correct only for linear loads
(loads which are obeying OHM'S law i.e.V=IR).
But,In general most of the loads are non-linear in nature.
(EX:Induction Motor).
so,current increases both for low voltages & high
voltages which leads to over-heating of the equipment.
