In iduction motors the current is higher than normal for
both the cases when the voltage appllied is more than the
rated as well as less than the rated, why?
Answer Posted / scb19422000
Because the difference between the applied voltage and the
back emf is more than normal in both the cases,as with
lower applied voltage the speed will be less due to higher
slip hence lower back emf.
