1. Plan for stores and materials:
Plan for materials quantity for stores, including future
stock requirements through tools for forecasting and
previous records analysis
Support purchase department for planning the procurement of
requisite equipment and material for stores
Plan for store space management and availability and ensure
adherence to various norms and safety conditions in the
process
Review overall planning of materials on a regular basis to
ensure that inventory is managed in a optimum manner
2. Manage stores and materials:
Issue of materials to customers as per the requirement and
record maintenance for the same
Review shortages of materials and ensure action steps for
fulfillment of shortages
Responsible for complete inventory resource in terms of
sales, orders, inventory etc.
3. Implement systems and processes for stores and their
operations:
Implement systems like, Min Max etc. for enhancing
capability, efficiency and performance of store operations
Implement processes for smooth operations of stores, such
as tracking systems for ensuring proactive reduction of
storage
Implement process for slow moving / project surplus in
terms of options to use existing inventory or sell off
extra materials
Manage overall responsibility of stock integrity
Conduct regular audits to identify gaps and requirement of
change in the management process
5. Inventory Management
Overall responsibility of checking out deviations and
control of stores inventories.
Review the audit reports and take correction measures as
suggested. Conduct the departmental/Contractors
reconciliation and carry out adjustments with finance as
per the outcome of the report.
Review the ageing of slow/non moving materials and conduct
their disposal as per the laid down policies.
Planning of the Audits and its compliance.
System/process/Procedures compliance within norms of the
company.
