What is the difference b/w Smoke and Sanity Testing? I heard
that Sanity testing will be done by developers. Is that so?
Answer Posted / chabs
In some companies they term it as Smoke testing, in some
companies they call it as Sanity testing. In a company only,
they may call it as Sanity testing for one project, Smoke
testing for the other.
SO BOTH R SAME.
They are done at every stage... developers do it (just do a
high level check whether the feature works? that there is no
critical bug). Testers do Smoke testing immediately after
they get the build from the developers.(For every build
testers does Smoke testing...do a high level check later
proceed testing the application in detail)
