A vertical plate and a horizontal plate are suspended in an
open room. Both are heated to the same temperature. Which one
will cool first?

Answer Posted / guest

a vertical plate is suspended in room.so,the surface area
of the vertical plate is larger compare to a horizonatal
palte to the environment. & we know that if the heat
transfer rate is directly proposional to the surface are of
the material, temp.& inversily propositional to the dist.
so.here temp. of both the plates are same.&may be plates
are also same but the surface area are different for both
nthe plates.
so.vertical plate will coll first.
