ASCII Stands for American Standard Code For Information
Interchange.. it is a alphanumeric code which uses 7bits for
coding and the 8th bit for parity check.. it is mainly used
in micro computers..
EBCDIC stands for extended binary coded decimal interchange
code.. it uses 8bits for coding.. no parity check bit.. it
is used by IBM and mainframes.. it as a cent sign which is
useful for punch cards which is not present in ascii..
