what is the different between Switch & Circuit Breaker?
Answer Posted / hammad khan (uwa)
Circuit Breaker have the switching capability of switching on and off any kind of currents that is the load current and short circuit currents and can be operated under load conditions.
Whereas a Disconnection switch can only be operated under no load conditions. Currents of Busbar without load and also no load currents of transformer with low rating can be switched on and off. So interlocking with circuit breaker is necessary.
