vlan is create for the use of inter lan,reduce the broadcast.
within the lan we will communicate with limited persons.
Example:
In a office we will create a vlan in the lan switch(port
vice)like that
Marketing dept:only communicate marketing dept pcs.
Finance dept:only communicate Finance dept pcs
Admin dept :Only communicate admin dept pcs
so it is also used to reduce the broadcast traffic.
