how the magnetic flux is said to be rotating & alternating?
Answer Posted / ishaan
With the application of balanced 3-phase currents in the
stator windings of induction motor, flux produces due to all
the 3 currents which are 120 degrees apart to each other,
resultant of which is the net magnetic flux rotating in the
air gap. It is said to be alternating due to continues
occurence of N and S poles in succession.
