B check of a diesel engine is done after 500 running hours
of that engine.
it is carried out in following steps -
1. Checking of fuel oil filter & lube of filter,if necessary
change them.
2. Checking of rocker arms clearances of inlet & exhaust valves.
3. Check for proper lubrication of rocker arms with lube oil.
4. Exhaust manifold should be checked for Leakages.
5. if engine is air cooled then clean radiator fins with the
help of compressed air. If engine is water cooled then check
out inlet water pressure and its temperature within
permissible limits. If not then overhaul the air cooler.
7. Check fuel injectors for proper functioning by testing
them.if needed any replacement of nozzle then replace it.
8.check for any leakages.
