What will the effect on a motor designed at 60 HZ, and
operated on 50 HZ ??
Answer Posted / baskaran.r
when operating 50 hz the important change is voltage. we are
to make V/F as constant ie voltage /frequency equal there
fore to operate the motor in 50 hz we have to reduce the
voltage per v/f calculation. if operated with same voltage
the flex will saturate and motor will take high amps and
burn the speed will reduce to 1500 as stated.
