Yes we can operate the same motor to be operated in both
the directions. But the direction of the motor can be
changed by either reversing the field or armature terminals
but the change of phase sequence does not change the
direction of motor rotation.

In Indian Household, generally we receive 220V AC single phase supply. But AC has 2 phases, +ve & -ve. So in +ve half cycle current is flowing...so what happens in the -ve half cycle?? Please illustrate.
