VSWR is the ratio of terminal(load)impedance(Zr) to the
characteristic impedance (Zo) of a transmission line or a
wave guide.VSWR=(Zr/Zo)(if Zr>Zo) and VSWR=(Zo/Zr) (if
Zo>Zr).Its value varies between 1 and infinity. Its value
says how much the load is matched with the transmission
line. Its value when reaches unity shows perfect match and
there will be no reflections(towards the source). Thus the
transmission line 'act' as a infinitely long one. From the
value of VSWR we can find out how much power is reflected
from or transmitted into the load. ...Now understood ??
