whatis the difference between electrical and electronics?
Answer Posted / mits
In India, the discipline of Electrical Engineering is treated as Electrical Power Engineering, which involves Electrical Machines, Power systems, Control Systems, Measurements and Instrumentation and Power Electronics, broadly. EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) as the popular name of the U.G program goes, it also includes topics from electronics, such as analog and digital electronics. Electronics engineering, on the otherhand, deals with electronics (digital and analog), and signal processing only. Most of the U.G programmes deal with communications and related signal processing also.
In the U.S, all these programmes are mostly carried out under a single academic department of Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering.

3 shows a 415 V, 3-phase generator supplying a 3-phase 415/110 V transformer. Draw the individual and combined impedance diagrams to a base of 10 kVA. Determine the system fault kVA and the fault currents at the 415 V and 110 V busbars for short circuit faults on the transformer input or output terminals. Work in p.u. values of impedances.
