what is the CT of protection and CT of metering ? what is
class 5P10 & 5P20 and class PS ?
Answer Posted / duraivelu j
there are two type of ct. one is metering ( class 0.1,class
0.5,1,&5)another one is Protection (PS, 5P10,5P20)the
metering ct has very less error, so we can measure actual
power by accuratly,the protecton ct has more error but that
has more saturaion level, so during fault condition this ct
will not saturate. bur Metering ct will saturate when fault
condition and that time we can't measure the current vale.

Hello everyone, somebody knows what is a "surplice power" ? The hole phrase is: "This rating is appropriate for a generator set paralleled with an infinite bus e.g. a national electrical supply network or grid where the generator set is run at 100% load, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and any surplice power is exported into the grid" Thanks in advance.
